BioI am currently participating in the 2007 Soulforce Equality Ride (www.soulforce.org) (www.equalityride.com). From now until May 1st, I will be traveling around the country on a bus with 25 other students visiting colleges and universities that have discriminatory policies against LGBT students, faculty, alumni, etc. Our mission parallels that of the Freedom Rides of the Civil Rights Movement. It is grassroots activism that aims to bring about conversation and dialogue with regards to discrimination and the effects thereof. It is a good thing, and a necessary thing.
